Controversial actress Poonam Pandey took at holy dip at Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, on Wednesday (January 29). She has been giving glimpses of her visit to Maha Kumbh and a photo in which she is seen taking a dip at Sangam has surfaced on social media.
In the picture, the actress is seen wearing a black kurta which featured white prints. She is seen offering prayers with folded hands.
Poonam, often in the spotlight for her controversies, has now embraced a spiritual and religious path.
On Tuesday, the actress posted a video on her Instagram story in which she can be seen struck in traffic. In the video, she said she was stuck with hundred other people.
Earlier today, she said she post post pictures of her 'Mauni Snan' pictures soon.
Reacting to the stampede which took place at Maha Kumbh in the wee hours of Wednesday, Poonam said it was 'very unfortunate'. At least 15 people died and several were injured in the stampede.
Giving a glimpse of the devotees coming in large numbers to take a holy dip, Poonam said, "Shakti bhale hi kam ho jaaye shraddha kam nahi honi chhaiye. Om Namah Shivaay."
A few days back, Poonam was spotted at Mumbai airport, and while talking to the paparazzi, she said, "Kumbh jaa rahi hoon, Maha Kumbh. Main tum logo ke liye prasad leke aati hoon. Aur kuch lau? (I am going to Maha Kumbh; will bring prasad for you all. Should I get something else?)."
Maha Kumbh 2025 started on January 13 and several Bollywood celebs, including Anupam Kher, Hema Malini, Kabir Khan, Remo D'Souza, Mamta Kulkarni and others took the holy dip.
