Oprah Winfrey auctions off belongings from Chicago apartment

Los Angeles:  Talk show host Oprah Winfrey is clearing out her Water Tower apartment in Chicago as she is preparing to close down her Harpo Studios in the city. Winfrey, 61, is selling her belongings to benefit her Leadership Academy Foundation, reported Ace Showbiz. Leslie Hindman Auctioneers will run the sale on April 25 in its Chicago saleroom with a preview held from April 16 to 24.

The items on sale include furniture, drawings, porcelain, crystal, silver, clothing, accessories, and paintings including one by American Impressionist artist Richard Miller. “She is an excellent collector, very well educated,” Hindman said of the former daytime talk show host. “She has lots of different interests and over the years she has collected all sorts of different things.”
