Oops! After praising Salman Khan for donating Rs 12 crore towards Kerala flood relief, Jaaved Jaaferi deletes tweet

As many renowned people have come forward to donate money for flood-hit Kerala, the latest buzz is that Bollywood actor Salman Khan has donated Rs. 12 crore for the same. Although this news is not confirmed by Salman Khan, another Bollywood celebrity gave hints about Salman Khan’s donation towards Kerala relief fund.

On Sunday, actor Jaaved Jaaferi took to Twitter to acknowledge Salman Khan for his kind gesture. He wrote, “Heard @BeingSalmanKhan donated 12cr for Kerala… this man is something else. Kitnon ki duaein leke chal rahi hain isey. God Bless you bro. Love and #Respect” [sic]. Later, Jaaved Jaaferi deleted the tweet saying that he needs to confirm once again about the news before acknowledging Salman Khan for the same.

Many other Bollywood celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kangana Ranaut, Kunal Kapoor among others have donated money for rebuilding Kerala. Even South Indian actors like Rajinikanth, Thalapathy Vijay, Ram Charan and many more have donated money for this noble cause.

Kerala has been devastated by heavy rains which started on August 8 and caused floods in the state. More than 300 people have lost their lives due to floods while infrastructure worth of hundreds of crores has been destroyed. More than 8 lakh people have been sheltered in about 3000 relief camps. Centre, State Government and Indian Navy are trying their best to restore normalcy in the state. Many organisations and NGOs are also working towards collecting donations and other essential items for Kerala flood victims.
