Manoj Bajpai is at the brink of going back to doing cinema that he was once known for, alternative and slightly off the commercial arena. Aligarh’s first look itself garnered him a lot of praise and applause, one cannot help but wonder if he is glad to leave films like ‘Tevar’ behind and embrace his school of acting once again.
But the actor refuses to give a straight reply, he said, “I am completely in love with mainstream cinema. I have done so many and will continue to, but it has to be something concrete for me. My positioning in the film needs to be right. Ever since I started doing films it had to be the lead role or one of the leading characters in the film. And I have done that on my own terms and conditions.”
Given all the films that Manoj has done sees him playing one of the central characters despite his unconventional looks what is his trick, we asked! “You have to be very confident and they give it to you,” he smiled, secured that his talent and his acting has no competition.
