After Big Boss 13, actor Sidharth Shukla is ready with his next project, ALT Balaji’s Broken But Beautiful 3. The first two seasons starred Vikrant Massey and Harleen Sethi. Sidharth will star in the show with Rathee Sonia.
When asked about his role the actor said, “I play Agastya who is a writer-director. He’s a very relatable guy, very real, has his flaws and a vision for his art form.”
Even though love stories are not his favourite genre, the actor has taken a leap of faith with this show. “Life is all about taking chances. But who doesn’t want to see two happy people on screen? All love stories that have happy endings. Even the ones that don’t end in a union. Love is such a beautiful emotion,” he added.
Love bordering on obsession is a very delicate emotion. Has Indian television been able to acquire that kind of maturity? “We are talking about the web here which treats all emotions very differently. And Indian entertainment overall has grown from where it was earlier. The medium generally creates what the viewer wants to see because it needs to appeal to the masses,” he pointed out.
How then would he guide his fans to handle heartbreak? “I usually immerse myself in my work and remind myself that maybe it wasn’t meant to be! One must be able to figure out a way, in a manner so that there are no regrets. Either make it happen or move on! You can’t be rowing two boats at the same time,” he added.
