I now regret not doing ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’: Twinkle Khanna

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was one of the most iconic films that Bollywood ever had. As much as the movie is iconic so is the incidents related to the film. Whether it was, how Salman became part of the film or how Shah Rukh first thought that the story of the film was crap. However the most hilarious incident has to be how Twinkle Khanna who was the first choice for Tina rejected the role.

While Twinkle has always stated that she has not regretted a bit for letting go off the character, yesterday at the celebration of 20 years of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Twinkle said that seeing the film’s glimpses and the aura the film till now celebrates, she now regrets not being part of the film.

Twinkle said, “I never in my life regretted of not doing Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. But after realizing the aura the film still have today, I really regret of not being a part of the film. Nevertheless, if I would have been a part of this film it would have been a big flop like rest of my films. Imagine even my film with Shah Rukh flopped. My absence from the film made it a huge success. My mother also said me once that, the best part about Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is my absence.”

She then further said to Rani who was present at the same event to thanks her for making her career. “Rani Mukerji should give me a million gifts as I made her career by saying no to KKHH.” Concluded Twinkle.

Twinkle who is known as Mrs FunnyBones is now a successful author. With her first book Mrs Funnybones, Twinkle became India’s highest-selling female writer of 2015. She repeated the success with her second book, The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad, which also went on to sell over 100,000 copies.
