[dropcaps round=”no”]S[/dropcaps]aqib Salim, who plays the role of a skating coach in Amol Gupte’s ‘Hawaa Hawaai’, says he is jealous of Ranbir Kapoor! Saqib who debuted in ‘Mujhse Fraaanship Karoge’ and has starred in four movies since then said in an interview, “”I am jealous of Ranbir Kapoor and his filmography. On one hand, he does a ‘Barfi!’ and on the other ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ He is the perfect combination of a star and actor.”
Also when it comes to appreciating his contemporaries like Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor and National award-winning actor Rajkummar Rao, the actor does not lag behind. On being asked about what he thinks of his competitor’s acting skills on the big screen Saqib replied,”I was blown away by Varun’s performance in ‘Main Tera Hero’. I called him up and said, ‘Bro, you killed it!’ I think he is a full entertainment package.” He further added that he liked Arjun Kapoor in ‘2 States’ and Rajkummar Rao in ‘Shahid’.
The actor, who will be next seen in ‘Mere Dad Ki Maruti 2’ and an untitled action movie, even praised Kangana Panaut for her performance in ‘Queen’ and said that he was blown away by her performance in the movie.
“I don’t think I have seen a better movie than that in past five years. I could not find a single flaw. And if I could do one role of my contemporaries, it would be Kangana’s role in ‘Queen’,” he said. Hmmm… with so much praises being showered on everyone, the few he has not mentioned in Bollywood must be feeling left out!
