Despite several controversies and obstacles, the Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan starrer Kedarnath is all set to hit the screens tomorrow December 7. Being Sara’s debut film and after a much appreciated trailer, the film has garnered enough attention to have tickets sold out already.
According to a movie ticket booking website, the film’s least expensive ticket on the first day is around Rs 70. Regardless of which, the makers and distributors are not charging much if you were to actually visit Kedarnath. A trip to the holy city will cost you approximately Rs 5500. Considering the odds, watching the film sounds way more economical. The makers have given in much effort to encapsulate the picturesque beauty of Kedarnath and the trailer has proved it to an extent.
Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the movie shows a wealthy Hindu girl falling in love with a Muslim guide during a tour of Kedarnath in Uttarakhand. The film is set against the backdrop of 2013 Uttarakhand floods which destroyed almost 500 lives.
