If the recent news is anything to go by then Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora‘s love story has hit a roadblock and that too a major one. It is being alleged that Sonam Kapoor, Boney Kapoor and Anshula are not in favour of this love story. While some people from the Kapoor family like Anil, Sanjay, wife Maheep, Janhvi Kapoor have graciously accepted Malaika as their family member, this particular trio are strictly against Arjun’s decision of marrying Malaika.
While people do understand Boney and Anshula’s reservation related to Malaika as they don’t want Arjun to tie knot with someone who has been infamous for her broken relationships, it is Sonam’s refusal for Malaika which has raised many eyebrows considering the Neerja actress is quite open minded and supportive of Arjun.
Interestingly, Malaika’s failed marriage is not the reason behind Sonam’s refusal. In fact it is Sonam and Malaika’s personal equation due to which the former is not in favour of her brother’s decision.
Apparently at the 50th birthday bash of renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra, Malaika who got overdrunk was high in spirits, seeing an uncontrollable Malaika, Sonam who was also present at the party extended a helping hand to her but Malaika flatly refused Sonam’s help which didn’t go down well with the Kapoor girl.
“Sonam tried to hold Malaika, but Malaika told her in no uncertain terms to back off. Malaika was in mood to listen to anybody. She told Sonam that she will manage her own self. At this point, Karan Johar (who had hosted the party) and Manish came forward and took Malaika inside,” a source was quoted as saying by Spotboye back then.
