Melbourne: Celebrities often come out to support good causes in different and quirky ways. Recently, Sharon Osbourne and her daughter Kelly Osbourne had a cake fight for a good cause. The 63-year-old television host and the 31-year-old singer enjoyed a messy cake fight as ambassadors of Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life, Channel.24 reports.
Sharing a picture of her cake fight on Twitter, Sharon wrote, “We’re proud to be a part of the #PinkArmy and support @raceforlife! You can join too http://po.st/QMRTHF.”
The ‘Talk’ host, who beat her fight with colon cancer in 2002 and underwent a double mastectomy in 2012 as precaution, in a statement said she feels honored to be supporting Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life again this year, adding that cancer has taken the lives of so many, but there is something they can do to help change the odds.
Her daughter Kelly, who was diagnosed with the BRCA1 gene in 2015, said watching her mother fighting the colon cancer has inspired her so much that she wants to contribute her bit to beat the disease.
