New York: ‘Breaking Bad’ star Bryan Cranston is all set to produce musical called ‘Finding Neverland’ on Broadway, it has been revealed. The Tony award winning actor decided to produce the show after he revealed that he “cried with joy” following a preview of the show earlier this month, the New Post reported. A source said that it was very rare that celebrities invest in projects, so this was a big sign of Cranston’s faith in the show.
The musical has been brought to the stage by film producer Harvey Weinstein, marking his first foray into theatre and is ased on the 2004 film of the same name and follows Peter Pan author JM Barrie and his friendship with widow Sylvia Llewelyn Davies and her young sons. ‘Glee’ star Matthew Morrison and ‘Frasier’ actor Kelsey Grammer will also star in the musical and will be directed by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus. The show will feature musical numbers written by British singer Gary Barlow, of the pop group Take That, with choreography by Emmy Award-winning dancer Mia Michaels.
