In the last few years many actors and filmmakers have given us a blast from the past. From Rishi Kapoor-Amitabh Bachchan reunion to Sanjay Dutt- Pooja Bhatt coming together for a sequel. Anil Kapoor has managed to bag the most number of collaborations with his 90’s heroines.

Let’s count down the major collaborations we have seen and are about to see.

Amitabh Bachchan- Rishi Kapoor (27 years)

Two of Bollywood’s biggest stars, Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor, paired up after a gap of 27 years in ‘102 Not Out’. They ruled the Indian silver screen during the 70s and 80s and were lasts seen together in Ajooba.

Sanjay Dutt- Pooja Bhatt (27 years)

Sanjay Dutt fought against all the odds for his Sadak lady love in the 1991 release, and is all set to recreate the same in the film’s upcoming sequel, titled ‘Sadak 2’. The film counts for a double reunion because it will also bring Sanjay Dutt and Mahesh Bhatt together after the 1993 release ‘Gumrah’.

Sanjay Dutt- Madhuri Dixit Nene (22 years)

This iconic duo teamed up for nine films in a decade, and their chemistry had caused all the rage with their performances in Khalnayak and Saajan. Last seen together in 1997’s ‘Mahanta’ they will reunite in Kalank after 22 years.

Salman Khan- Sanjay Leela Bhansali (20 Years)

This most awaited collaboration was just announced, Salman Khan is all set to reunite with Sanjay Leela Bhansali after 1999’s Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.

Anil Kapoor -Madhuri Dixit Nene (18 years)

Indra Kumar reunited this duo with his recent release ‘Total Dhamaal’ after 18 years. Anil Kapoor and Madhuri have been seen in several hit film together including Lajja (2001), Beta (1992), Pukar (2000), Ram Lakhan (1989) and Tezaab (1988).

Shah Rukh Khan-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (14 years)

Bollywood’s Devdas and Paro returned to screen for a brief moment giving fans all the feels after 14 years. They were last seen sharing screen space in Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ after Devdas that released in 2002.

Amitabh Bachchan- Amrita Singh (12 years)

Even though not as a couple veteran actors Amitabh Bachchan and Amrita Singh returned to screen together after 12 years in Badla. They last shared screen space in 2007’s release, ‘Shootout At Lokhandwala’.

Juhi Chawla- Anil Kapoor (12 years)

After ‘Salaam-e-Ishq’ released in 2007. Sonam Kapoor’s ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Tho Esa Laga’ reunited, ‘Jhooth Bole Kauwa Kaate’ co-stars Anil Kapoor and Juhi Chawla. The two were seen together after 12 years.

Ajay Devgn -Kajol (11 years)

The husband-wife duo is all set to reunite on-screen in Pradeep Sarkar’s historic film, ‘Taanaji’. The two stars have worked in many films throughout the 90s and early 2000s. They were last seen in the film ‘Toonpur Ka Super Hero’ (2010). They will return as husband and wife on screen after 11 years.

Sooraj Barjatya – Salman Khan (5 years)

Sooraj Barjatya’s goody two shoes ‘Prem’ will make his return to a classic family drama after 5 years with the filmmaker. Barjatya’s ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ last brought them together.
