Known for his dark portrayal of characters and making films like UGLY, DEV D and GANGS OF WASSEYPUR, Anurag Kashyap might have been a little off the news after BOMBAY VELVET but he is back with his upcoming film.
Based on the life of a serial killer, Raman Raghav, who is said to have killed over 40 Mumbai residents between 1966 and 1968 by bashing their heads with an iron rod. Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has locked May 27 to release his thriller film starring Vicky Kaushal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Kashyap took to Twitter to announce the release date of the film. “‘Raman Raghav 2.0’ to be released on May 27th,” he tweeted.
Vicky Kaushal, who was last seen on screen in the film ZUBAAN with actress Sarah Jane Dias. Much appreciated for his role in the film MASAAN, Vicky will be essaying the role of a police officer in the upcoming film, while Nawazuddin is in the lead role.
This is the third time Nawaz and Anurag will be working together after GANGS OF WASSEYPUR 1 & 2. Vicky too assisted Anurag on those films as an Assistant director. Vicky will also be seen in an upcoming love triangle with actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar in the upcoming film MANMARZIYAN.
