Alia Bhatt has come such a long way from being a chubby teenager. Now so slender she’s practically skinny, the actress declares that it has been quite a while now since she’s felt the desire to really gorge.
“Honestly, I’m not in a bingeing headspace,” is how the gal, who is clearly a favourite with filmmakers and audiences, puts it. Her profession has seemingly cured her of her love for food, as she reveals, “It has been quite some time since I’ve felt like cheating. Things have been in front of me and I’ve not wanted them.”
Her fitness routine includes weight training besides two sessions of Pilates – an hour in the morning and an hour and a half in the evening. A lot yes, but understandable for someone who considers fitness her “biggest goal right now”.
She admits that there is pressure to look good all the time but she doesn’t really let it swamp her. She prefers dressing for herself, believing that people actually like the fact that she looks normal and even tired sometimes, instead of constantly and perfectly glamorous. “People connect to that and I feel like that’s something that makes you more real,” she shrugs.
Alia Bhatt clearly likes keeping it real and balanced. It’s the same with her use of make-up. Her rule of thumb, is less is more, where she focuses on making sure her entire look is balanced and she never goes berserk with colours and effects. That said, she is a girl’s girl at heart and cannot bear the thought of shaving her head for a film! “I love my hair,” she wails. “I mean, never say never, but it will be a big decision… I don’t know if I’ll be able to do that.”
BTW, the actress reportedly charges a sum close to what Katrina Kaif does for endorsements. And it’s here, that the advertisers are flocking to, enthralled by her youthful charm!
