Since his debut in 2005 with ‘Socha Na Tha’, Abhay Deol has always chosen to be different from the rest. And now the actor, who has worked in films like ‘Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd.’, ‘Ek Chalis Ki Last Local’, ‘Manorama Six Feet Under’, ‘Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!’, ‘Dev D’ and ‘Chakravyuh’, believes that fairness products ‘stoke the inferiority complex’ amongst Indians.
Abhay took to Twitter to voice his thoughts. He posted a picture of various fairness brands in one hand as he wrote, “If Indians were ‘White’, would there be a ‘Dark and Sexy’? Here are some brands to stoke our inferiority complex.”
It’s noted that many celebs from Aishwarya Rai, Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra to Shahid Kapur and Varun Dhawan have featured in advertisements for fairness products. We wonder what others have to say about it?
