Just as when he was suffering from the after-effects of the utterance of the forbidden term ‘intolerance’, Aamir Khan fired another salvo. This time, it was aimed at none other than India’s very own Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The platform for Aamir Khan to voice his opinions was Rajat Sharma’s show ‘Aap ki Adalat’.

In this show, he reportedly said that while India was very tolerant, there are people who spread ill-will and those who speak of breaking up the country are present in all religions. He added that such elements can only be stopped by Narendra Modi.

Aamir Khan emphaseized that because India is his mother and not a brand, he still believes that he is India’s brand ambassador, despite the government discontinued him. While he clarified that he was wrongly quoted in the (infamous) interview, his sentence stating that ‘rising intolerance’ and ‘India is intolerant’ were two different things. He also spoke about that how he never charged a penny for all his public service campaigns for the country and nor will he charge in future. Besides appealing the media to stop highlighting violence, he said that Kiran and himself were not going anywhere and will die in India only.

Lastly, amongst all the other things, Aamir Khan said that he fully empathized with the cause of Kashmiri Pandits through his appeal to people living in the Valley to bring the Kashmiri Pandits back.
