28-year-old Malayali model, Gaanam Nair aka Jikki Padhoo, has gone missing from Chennai. Gaanam works as a screenplay writer for a private television production house and has been missing since May 26.
Nair, whose father stays in Delhi, left for work on her black Honda Activa on May 26. She informed her relatives that she would meet a friend at Virugambakkam and return, but went missing since then. Nair’s relatives have filed a missing complaint with KK Nagar Women’s police station. According to cops, her mobile phone is switched off. The police said that they are probing the case from all possible angles. Her call records are being scanned. Cops are also questioning her friends to gather more information about her. Meanwhile, after initial investigation, the police has learnt that Gaanam didn’t take the usual route to reach office on the day she went missing.
According to the Gaanam Nair Facebook page, she is a photographer and fashion blogger. While her relatives said she was a marketing manager at a salon, her mother is no more and father resides in New Delhi. She stays with her aunt and cousins in Chennai. Gaanam’s friends and relatives have taken to social media to express their angst and worry. One of her friends posted her pictures along with other details to find Ganaam.
