Tomorrow, December 1, the Consortium of National law Universities (NLUs) will conduct the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 exam for admission to undergraduate and graduate law programs offered by NLUs and other participating law schools for the 2025–2026 academic year. The 2025 CLAT UG and CLAT PG will take place offline.
Exam times for CLAT 2025 will be from 2 to 4 p.m., and the exam will last two hours. The exam for candidates in the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category will run from 2 to 4:40 p.m.
Exam pattern:
For the offline CLAT 2025 exam, instructing will be conducted in English. The exam's 120 objective-style questions will be divided into five categories: English language, current affairs (including general knowledge), legal thinking, logical reasoning, and quantitative approaches. The entire exam takes two hours.
Marking scheme:
Candidates will receive one mark for each correct response, and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect response.
Exam day guidelines:
Applicants must be at the testing site by 1 pm and be in their assigned seats in the classroom or hallway by 1:30 pm.
After entering the hallway or classroom, candidates are not permitted to leave before 4 p.m.
To the testing site, applicants must bring their official identification, admit card, and any applicable handicap certificate.
Official identification, a transparent water bottle, a black or blue ballpoint pen, and an analogue watch are all allowed in the exam room.
The candidate's name, photo, and admit card number will be shown in the Question Booklet (QB). After receiving the QB, the candidate is requested to confirm it.
All questions on the OMR response sheet that comes with the QB alone must be answered by candidates.
The original OMR Response Sheet, the first sheet, needs to be given to the invigilator at the conclusion of the test.
Candidates should write or enter their QB and OMR Response Sheet numbers and sign the corresponding column on the attendance sheet that was supplied during the test.
