Tanuja Kansal, President, CRWWO felicitates staff of first all women station

Tanuja Kansal, President, Central Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (CRWWO) felicitated the staff of first all women station at Matunga (Central Railway) today. She also gave a group award of Rs.25,000/- to the staff and Rs.2,500/- to two pointswomen who have done exemplary work. Executive Committee Members of CRWWO were also present on the occasion.

Kansal also interacted with the staff individually and enquired about the challenges faced by them in performing their duties and encouraged them. She also said that this the best environment for women where they can make all decisions of their own for their personal and professional wellbeing.

Matunga station is the first all women station in Indian Railways in July 2017 and it entered into Limca Book of Records in 2018. There are 35 women staff working including Station Manager, RPF, Points person, Ticket checking staff, Safai Karmachari.
