Bollywood filmmakers Vivek Agnihotri and Sudhir Mishra have come together for a podcast, which will release at 7 pm on May 4. The teaser of the same was shared by Vivek on Thursday.
In the teaser, both the filmmakers are seen discussing director Anurag Kashyap's comment against The Kashmir Files. For those unversed, Anurag had stated that the film should not be sent to Oscars 2023.
The teaser opens with Vivek saying, "Mujhe laga inko ye likhna padh raha hai ki Vivek ki audience alag hai, meri audience alag hai?"

Sudhir then suggests that Vivek must "look at" what his critics are saying. "What do your critics say to you? People are using your film in the wrong way."
"It is Anurag's (Kashyap's) view that your film should not go for the Oscars," Sudhir said. When Vivek asked, "Then why do you have a problem with my views? You do not have a problem with anyone's views except mine?," Sudhir responded, "No, no. I do not have any problems with your views either."
Vivek shared the teaser of the podcast on his official social media account and called it 'unedited, uninterrupted and free-flowing conversation.'
The Kashmir Files, starring Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, and others, released in theatres in 2022 and the film received mixed reactions from critics. The film depicts the killings of Kashmiri Hindus in the 1990s.
In one of his interviews, Anurag had said, "India might actually have a nomination in the final five if RRR is the film they pick. I don’t know what film anybody is going to pick. I hope not The Kashmir Files."
Soon after Anurag's statement went viral, Vivek had tweeted, "IMPORTANT: The vicious, GENOCIDE-DENIER lobby of Bollywood has started their campaign against #TheKashmirFiles for #Oscars, under the leadership of the maker of #Dobaaraa."
Meanwhile, on the work front, Vivek is gearing up for the release of The Vaccine War. The film is slated to release on August 15, 2023, in 11 languages.
