The very talented Sharad Kelkar, who has been basking in the glory of his recently released film ‘Har Har Mahadev’ has joined hands with the makers of the aspirational biopic of industrialist Srikant Bolla titled ‘SRI’. The film stars Rajkummar Rao in the titular role along with Alaya F and Jyothika.
Sharad took to his social media and wrote, "Glad to be a part of Srikanth Bholla biopic titled #SRI With the cast and crew Rajkumar Rao and Alaya F and Jyotika. Directed by Tushar Hiranandani Produced by BhushanKumar, T-Series Shiv Chanana and Nidhi Parmar and Chalk and Cheese Films."
The mahurat shot of the film has already been making the headlines since yesterday and the shoot will kickstart soon.
Earlier Backed by Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani, the biopic will be helmed by "Saand Ki Aankh" fame director Tushar Hiranandani.
Tentatively titled "Srikanth Bolla", the film will narrate the inspiring tale of an industrialist who didn't let his visual impairment come in the way of his vision and founded Bollant Industries spearheaded by Ravi Kanth Mantha.
Expressing his excitement, Rao had previously said that the story of Srikanth Bolla is an inspiration
"It's indeed a privilege to play such an inspiring persona who has been through a lot of hardships and despite that has risen like a phoenix! I am really looking forward to playing Srikant. I'm happy to collaborate with Bhushan sir yet again on this compelling project," Rao said
Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani and Tushar Hiranandani hoped that Bolla's journey "really tugs the heartstrings of the audiences just like it did for all of us".
It has been penned by Sumit Purohit and Jagdeep Sidhu.
