Singer Palak Muchhal tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend composer Mithoon Sharma on Sunday in an intimate ceremony attended by their close family members held in Mumbai.
The pair dropped the wedding glimpses to Instagram earlier today with the ideal comments, which read, "aaj hm do sdaiv ke liye ek hue / And forever begins..."
In the wedding pictures, Mithoon and Palak Muchhal looked stunning together. Mithoon could be seen donning a fantastic ensemble of a maroon pagadi and shawl with his golden sherwani. On the other side, Palak appears elegant in a crimson lehenga with heavy embroidery and a chuda.
As per earlier reports, it was said the couple dated for a while before getting hitched. However, the duo told ETimes, that it wasn’t cupid, but their parents who brought them together.
The duo first collaborated for the 2013 romantic film ‘Aashiqui 2’ starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor. In 2016, they worked together on the film 'Traffic' with songs like 'Keh Bhi De' and 'Door Na Jaa'.
Mithoon stated that although they’ve known and collaborated with each other multiple times, there wasn’t any social connection between the two until last year. It was only till he spoke to his parents a few months ago, the two families spoke to each other and had a formal meeting.
Palak shared that her parents were very happy when the proposal came. “This thought (of spending our life together) never occurred to us, but now it feels like it was meant to be.”
Palak is a well-known vocalist in Bollywood, she has delivered notable tracks like "Chaahun Mein Ya Naa," "Dhoka Dhadi," "Photocopy," "Jumme Ki Raat," "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo," and others. Mithoon, on the other hand, has written music for films such as The Train, Aggar, Lamhaa, Jism 2, Aashiqui 2, Ek Villain, Sanam Re, and others.
