Singer Neha Kakkar, who is currently receiving flak on social media for remaking dandiya queen Falguni Pathak's iconic number 'Maine Payal Hai', was seen sharing the stage with the latter on the music reality show 'Indian Idol 13'.

The makers shared a new promo that shows the two singers featuring together in a Navratri special episode. It cannot be confirmed if the episode was filmed before or after the controversy took place.

Earlier, Falguni revealed that she wishes to take legal action against Neha.

The 53-year-old singer told PinkVilla that she is happy to see her fans' love for the original song, which was originally released in 1999.

"I feel overwhelmed and touched on receiving so much love from all over for the song, so I had to share their feelings," Falguni said.

Falguni also shared that she wasn't approached by the makers of 'O Sajna', Kakkar's version of the song.

According to Pinkvilla, Falguni re-shared a story by her fan that asked her to sue Kakkar.

Asked if she is planning on taking the legal route, Falguni said: "I wish I could but the rights are not with me."

When further asked if the makers or Kakkar tried to reach out to her after seeing her Instagram stories, Falguni said: "No."

On the other hand, Kakkar shared a cryptic note on her social media after facing backlash from Pathak.

She wrote, "If talking in such a manner, saying such bad things about me, abusing me...makes them feel good and if they think it will ruin my day. Then I'm sorry to inform them that I'm too blessed to have bad days. This God's child is always happy because God himself/herself is keeping me happy."

In another story, Neha wrote, "For those who're so unhappy seeing me HAPPY and SUCCESSFUL. I feel sorry for them. Bechare. Plz keep commenting I won't even delete them, Coz I Know and Everybody knows what NEHA KAKKAR is."

It all started when Falguni reshared fans' posts on Instagram Story, indirectly showing her disapproval of Neha's version titled 'O Sajna'.

The original song was released in 1999 and it featured actors Vivan Bhatena and Nikhila Palat. The song was played out as a puppet show in a college fest. The song was a massive hit.

The new version was unveiled recently. Priyank Sharma and Dhanashree Verma have featured in the music video for 'O Sajna'. Tanishk Bagchi, who is known for recreating old hit Hindi songs, has composed 'O Sajna'.
