Actor-director Faissal Khan, who is the brother of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who recently made it to the news for refusing to participate in the controversial reality show ‘Bigg Boss’, explained why he had to deny the offer.

In an interview with ETimes, Faissal spilled stated that in the show, everyone gets into a fight or an argument, people are pitted against each other, given tasks that affect them mentally, and he doesn't intend to get caged for money.

“Everyone likes a free life. I have been caged once in Aamir’s house. I don’t intend to get caged again,” he shared.

Earlier, Faissal shared a video on Instagram and said that he is happy as he was offered the reality show and a television serial.

"Aaj khushi ka din hai mere liye because I got two offers today. One was for Bigg Boss but I declined it. There was another offer for a TV serial. I am quite excited that people are thinking about me and considering me. I am happy. Please pray for me that I get some good work so I can try and entertain you all be it a web series or a film. Thank you, bye," he can be heard saying in the clip.

Faissal started his career as a junior actor and appeared in the films 'Pyar Ka Mausam', 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak' and also worked as an assistant director with his father and uncle. Later though he acted in films like 'Madhosh', 'Mela', 'Border Hindustan Ka' among others but he could not achieve as much success as his brother.

Asked if he asked for help from his brother Aamir to restore his career in Bollywood, Faissal had told IANS: "No, I did not ask for help to build my career from Aamir. I wanted to do things by myself because whatever it is, my success, my failure is mine. He is my brother, he wishes well for me but I had to go through a dark phase, that is part of my journey. That is my life.

"Isn't it funny that when someone struggles to make something of his own and does not get as much success as other siblings, they are asked why don't you ask for support and help? But if he takes support and achieves success, it is called nepotism. Yes, I had a hard life but now I really want to get back into acting and directing films. I need the opportunity to grow and I am emotionally and physically ready to make my path."
