BHOPAL : A 32-year-old married woman was found dead in her house on Friday morning. Her husband told the police that she was trying to commit suicide by hanging at her Ashoka Garden residence when her husband spotted her and brought her down. He found that she was breathing and went to sleep again. In the morning, the woman was found dead.
Following the information, police personnel, along with FSL team reached the spot and after preliminary investigation registered a case while sent her body for the post-mortem and started further probe in the matter.
Ashoka Garden police said that deceased woman was identified as Chand Bi (32), wife of Afsar, a resident of house no C-27 in Subhash Colony area.
Deceased’s husband works as labourer. Police further said that frequent disputes used to take place among the couple over petty issues and on the night of the incident too there was a quarrel between them before going to sleep.
Late in the night, Afsar spotted his wife hanging from the ceiling fan after which he took her down and she was alive. He gave his wife a glass of water to drink and sat with her till she gained her senses and became normal and went to sleep.
On the next morning, when Afsar woke up, he was shocked to see his wife dead after which he immediately informed the police. Prima facie police says her death was suspicious as if, when Afsar took his wife down from the ceiling fan, she was alive then how could she have died the next morning.
As of now the police have registered a case under section 174 of Cr P C while sent her body for the autopsy and her PM report was awaited which would throw light on the actual reason behind her death.
