BHOPAL : A Delhi-bound Air India flight IA-9436 could not take off due after developing technical problems in the wheel of plane at Raja Bhoj Airport at 9.30 am. There were 45 passengers on board who created a ruckus. The wheel was replaced but the passengers were sent to Delhi by another fight, AI-834.
At the time while the plane was taking off, passengers and pilots heard noise coming from wheel compartment. The plane was immediately stopped and pilot told passengers that plane could not be airborne as the snag could lead to further problems while landing the plane at Delhi.
AI area manager Vishrut Archarya said, “The passengers and pilot heard the noise from the wheel section of the plane. The plane was immediately stopped before it could reach the runway and the pilot informed the airport authority that it was not safe for plane to fly. We assured the passengers of taking care of the snag and arranged for the wheel’s replacement but by 3:30PM, all the 45 passengers were sent to their destination by another flight.”
