Khetia : In order to solve water scarcity in the region and provide villagers with clean filter water in future, pipeline laying work under Mukhya Mantri Payjal Yojna or the Chief Minister Drinking Water Project is going on at war footing here at Khetia.
According to information, Rs 20.11 crore has been sanctioned for the project by the state government.
Municipal council president Amrit Bhikaji Bagul and chief municipal officer Santosh Chouhan informed that out of total sanctioned money, Rs 9.37 crore will be spend on construction of two overhead tanks, filter plant, intake valve, pipe line and other work.
Road digging work is also going for pipeline laying work as council allotted work to the contractor earlier and he will responsible for road repairing work as well. Apart from that, bairaj construction on Susari river near Baygore village under the same scheme will be started soon once get clearance from the government. As per the information, Rs 7.96 crore will be spend on this project.
Water scarcity problem will be solved once both the project completed, Bagul and Chouhan informed.
