BHOPAL: Bharat Mishra, brother of Inspector General of police Sonali Mishra, will now come out of jail in connection with Vyapam scam. The MP High Court granted bail in four cases to Mishra on Wednesday.
Mishra was in jail in six cases – Pre-PG (medical admission), transport inspector recruitment scam, constable-2012 and constable-2013 frauds, IT operators recruitment scam, Milk Federation appointment scam. Senior advocate Ajay Mishra appeared on behalf of Bharat Mishra.
Mishra had surrendered on July 8, 2014 and he was sent to jail on the next day. Earlier, Dr Vinod Bhandari, chairperson of Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences (SAIMS), had come out of jail and now Mishra will be the second accused of Vyapam scam, who is getting out of jail on bail. Advocate EA Quareshi said, “Mishra was in the jail in connection with six cases of fraud in Vyapam recruitment tests. Previously, he was given default bail in transport inspectors and Milk Fed cases. Now the High Court has given regular bail in four cases at one go.”
