BHOPAL : The Bilkhiria police on Sunday nabbed an accused who was impersonating his friend in the Forest Guard recruitment exam at LNCT centre. The exam was being organised by the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board on Sunday by Vyapam at 1575 centres across the State. It was conducted at 90 centres in the city.A case has been registered against the accused at Bilkhiria police station and investigations were on in the case.

TI, Bilkhiria police station, Sandhya Mishra said that the accused was identified as Vikas Kumar, resident of Munger in Bihar. He was impersonating Deepak Kumar, resident of Buland Shahar in Uttar Pradesh.

TI Mishra said that the exam centre administration informed the police about the incident on Sunday morning after the signature of the accused on the record of answer sheet did not match with the signature of the candidate on the application form. The photo on the admission form was of the accused only so he got entry in the centre.

TI Mishra further said that the accused Vikas Kumar confessed of impersonating Vikas appeared for Deepak Kumar in the forest Guard exams as he was his friend.

It is a matter of probe whether any monetary transaction was done between them or not or was there an involvement of some professional gang.

TI Mishra said that the accused would be produced before the court from where he would be taken on police remand to ascertain any involvement of any professional group in the incident. One more impersonator was caught in Sohagpur.
