BHOPAL : The collector of Betul has terminated the services of district programme manager (DPM) and the district accounts manager (DAM) for committing irregularities in Janani Express tender process. The collector has also written to the principal secretary health recommending departmental inquiry, on Wednesday.
Collector Dnyaneshwar Bhalchandra Patil informed that the national health mission unit of Betul had called tenders for operating Janani Express from September 2015 to August 2016. The DPM and DAM misguided the CMHO Dr Pradeep Mojej and released the order.
According to process, prior approval of the district health society (DHS) was mandatory.
After approving the tenders, they also released the amount to the Janani Express owner. After the case came to the notice of the DHS, an inquiry was ordered. After investigations it is found that the accused DPM Dr Vinod Shakya and DAM Girish Sharma had misguided the CM&HO and committed the financial irregularities.
The services of both DPM and DAM were terminated with immediate effect and a DO letter had been sent to the PS health to institute departmental inquiry against the CM&HO.
The collector had also terminated the tender of the Janani Express, he had instructed the block medical officer to continue the old operators to provide their services on the previous rates, till further orders. According to source, Dr Pradeep Mojej was recently posted as a CMHO of Betul district.
