BHOPAL: Two smugglers were arrested by the Crime Branch of the city police with 41 kg Cannabis worth Rs 12 lakh on Wednesday. They used trains toilet to store contraband.
38-year-old Raju Suryavanshi of Anand Nagar and 27-year-old Tinku Sharma of Aligarh UP were arrested from Bhopal railway station premises. Police said that they had got a tip-off from Vishakhapatnam regarding the smuggling attempt and had made two teams to nab the smugglers.
According to the police Raju has a past criminal record and was arrested earlier on the charge of murder and smuggling. Police says that Raju used toilets of general coaches. He unscrewed the plates of the roof of the toilets and stuffed the Cannabis inside.
