Bhopal: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating case of serial killer Adhesh Khambra on Thursday nabbed another alleged accused, a 36-year-old man Sandesh alias Pappi of Mandideep who was involved in two murders.
With the arrest, few more crimes are likely to be revealed. Sandesh has been sent under police custody till November 3. Notably, Adesh received Rs 2 lakh for each of the five trucks that he has disposed after robbing with the help of Sahab Singh. Sahab Singh sold the trucks in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The cases regarding their crime are registered with Bilkharia, Misrod, MP Nagar and Ashoka Garden police stations.
Two trucks linked with the robberies and murder in Bilkharia and Ashoka Garden areas, were seized from Bihar. SIT has recovered 8 trucks till now and it has intensified the search for the absconding accused. Serial killer Adesh Khambra has confessed around 34 murders and robberies along with his aides in around half a dozen states.
The serial killer and his aides targeted truck driver and cleaners by spiking their drinks after befriending them. Khambra has confessed to killings in Maharashtra, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and MP. His arrest had sent shockwaves in the society.
Three accused Adesh Khambra, Jay Karan and Tukaram were nabbed for killing of Makhan Singh and escaped with Iron bars worth Rs 12 lakh on August 15. During the investigation accused involved in buying the robbed Iron bars were nabbed and based on details provided by them murder accused were nabbed and along with the solving of the murder and robbery case serial killings by Khambra gang came to fore.
