Narsinghpur : It was heart wrenching site in village Ramniwari and Umra, with wailing and sobbing all around. It was if the time had stood still in the village. In these two villages, 8 people of a family had perished in the train mishap at Harda. While six of a family were cremated in village Umra, bodies of a couple were cremated in village Ramniwari.
No one in the village had slept since the bodies were brought to the villages. Deepchand and his wife Heerabai were cremated in village Ramniwari. Large number of people participated in the funeral of the deceased. Later people went to the nearby village of Umra where six members of the family of Nidhansingh Bathre had perished in the train mishap. A large crowd including people’s representatives took part in the funeral procession of six deceased, including two children.
The two children, Ansh and Anshi were buried while bodies of Gindabai, Rajkumari, Sushila and Ranu were consigned to flames in a cremation ground. MLA Dr Kailsah Jatav, Jalamsingh Patel, former MLA NP Prajapati and several others including administrative and police officials consoled the bereaved family members. Meanwhile, two mishap victims were cremated in village Thuthu Harrai and one in village Mugli.
