BHOPAL: Urban development and housing minister Maya Singh has said that the government will welcome people who wish to organise birthday bhandaras (community lunch) at Deendayal Rasoi. Singh was inspecting the Deendayal Rasoi being run at Rain Basera situated at Shahjahani Park here on Saturday. Municipal commissioner Chavi Bharadwaj was also present on the occasion.
Maya Singh said Deendayal Rasoi was a boon for the poor and needy families. Singh informed that the Rasoi was catering to nearly 1,000 persons per day which would be increased in future as and when need arose.
The minister spoke to those cooking at the Rasoi and gathered information about various arrangements from the managers. She also collected information about the quality of food provided from the people.
