Tamiflu tablets to be given to high-risk people

BHOPAL : People at high-risk of contracting swine flue like children below 5 years of age, persons above 60, pregnant women, persons of metabolic disorder in the city have been recommended to be given tamiflu tablets to keep them on safer side.

CMHO Dr Vina Sinha, while talking to Free Press, said, “We have suggested that tamiflu tablets should be given to people in high-risk group like children below 5 years of age, persons above 60 years of age, pregnant women, patients suffering from metabolic disorders to keep them on safer side.”

Earlier, ten samples of swine flu suspects were sent for test but all of them turned to be negative. Three patients are still critical and they are undergoing medical treatment in private hospitals.
