BHOPAL: Chairman of Loulis Mills of Greece Constentinos Loulis and Director of Nutech Mediworld Company Dr. Gita Shroff met Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan here on Monday.
Loulis Mills has proposed about Rs. 72 crore investment in state’s food processing sector. Dr. Shroff wishes to set up a stem cell centre in Madhya Pradesh.
The Chief Minister said that food processing is a priority sector of the state government. It would add value to agricultural production. All facilities will be provided in the state to serious investors. He said that people will be greatly benefited by treatment through stem cell technology. Loulis Mills has offered to set up a major wheat-based food processing unit at Nimarni Food Processing Park in Khargone district at an estimated cost of Rs. 72 crore. It would give jobs to 95 persons. In the second phase, the company would invest about Rs. 350 crore giving jobs to 400 persons. Dr. Shroff informed that muscles, bones and tissues of any part of body can be regenerated through stem cell technology. Her institution is working in this field for many years.
She wishes to set up production and treatment centre of stem cell technology at Bhopal.
