Khirkiya : The district is going through shortage of police force and various posts are vacant at police stations. The department will fill this shortcoming with the appointment of policemen on the vacant posts. Negotiation in this regard is going on, said Inspector General of police (Hoshangabad range ) Shatish Saxena while inspecting security arrangements at Chhipapad police station as he was on his sudden visit in wake of festival season.
Around 62 police officers and workers are out of the district following the separate trainings organised by the department. Measurably, the shortage will be filled with these officers as they will return from their trainings informed the IG in an unofficial interaction with media persons. District police force will have sniffer dogs to crack the cases including theft, loot and robbery and a proposal have also been sent to police headquarter in this connection. The district police likely to have these dogs in coming days added IG while replying to a question.
The IG also observed the arrangements related to lock-up, Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & System (CCTNS) and the directed the police officers to complete the works pertaining to pending cases while reviewing the crime at Thana level. Following the sudden inspection, SDOP BN Basavey , TI PL Tripathi, SI Ramesh Piplodiya, Shilpa Sharma and other police personnel were present.
