Congress national media chairperson Randeep Singh Surjewala, here on Friday, levelled serious allegations on the chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan of MP for presenting the fabricated data to get the Krishi Karman Award.  Surjewala said that the UPA government had established the Krishi Karman Award to promote and motivate the states which are producing the agriculture produces facing all odds.

The award was set into two categories one about the total produces and the second is of particular grain. The award is based on the comparative growth in the produce in the present year with that of the produce the last five year.  The state government has bagged the award in the 2012-13 claiming a 25 percent growth in the agricultural produce. According to the data presented by the the total agricultural production was 287 lakh metric ton.

In the year 2013-14 the CM claimed that the produce is 300 lakh metric tons, but mentioned that the total grain produces was 234 lakh metric tonne in the year 2012-13, “Which was bogusly mentioned”. Importantly the sate did not win the Award.

To get into the contention for the award of 2014-15, it again presented the manipulated data. The CM claimed that the current year 320 lakh metric ton agriculture produces was recorded, but mentioned that in the year 2013-14 the production was 242 lakh metric tons, in place of 300 lakh metric tons. “The state bagged the award on the false data given by the chief minister, in the year 2012-13, 2014-15, by presenting fabricated data in similar fashion,” he claimed.
