BHOPAL: Luxury cars costing over Rs 1 crore will dazzle the state capital this Diwali. Builders, professionals and car lovers of different classes of society have already made bookings for purchasing the vehicles.
Real estate players are leading in purchasing luxury cars in Madhya Pradesh this festival season. They have already booked their vehicles and would get delivery before the festival of lights from showrooms in Bhopal and Indore.
Dealers, of course, are wary of disclosing the names of their valued customers, lest their business rivals lure them away with promises of bigger discounts. After all the competition in the automobile market is cutthroat.
Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Audi and Volkswagen are offering new models of their cars and limited editions of their popular models for the festival season.
Maruti Wagon R AMT and Stingray AMT, Mahindra TUV 300, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Maruti Suzuki, S-Cross Volkswagen Polo Exquisite, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Facelift and Volkswagen Vento are available in the market and the buyers are approaching dealers for booking. Audi S5 Sportback costs over Rs 60 lakh while other models are below Rs 25 lakh.
Gopal Railwani, GM, Audi Motors, Indore, said, “Three Audi-Q7 cars have been booked by three different persons. All are builders. One of them is from Bhopal and other two are from Indore. This model costs over Rs 1 crore. The A-4 range costs Rs 55 lakhs. Four buyers – two each from Bhopal and Indore – have made the bookings. Similarly, six are going for A-6 model, which costs Rs 50 lakh.”
Mercedes motors too are too not far behind. However, this company does not have any buyer for cars which cost over Rs 1crore. For C class and E class, which cost Rs 40 lakh and Rs 50 lakh respectively, four bookings have been made in Bhopal. All are builders the dealer said, adding, “some more buyers are expected in the days to come in Bhopal. Money is not the issue for them, passion is.” Nishant Suri of Maruti Suzuki said, “Our top range is Maruti Ciaz which costs Rs 12.4 lakh. There are four buyers – all professionals and builders but not government employees. All the cars will be delivered before Diwali.”
