BHOPAL: The issue of higher education minister Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya getting the title of ‘Shrimant’ removed before name of Guna MP Jyotiraditya Scindia from foundation stone, is still kicking up dust. Yashodhra Raje Scindia, Sport Minister and aunty of Jyotiraditya Scindia, has suggested Pawaiya to go through History.

Speaking about Pawaiya protesting the title of ‘Shrimant’, Scindia said he is a very senior minister so she would not make any adverse comment but he should understand the true meaning of ‘Srimant’. She further said that during the olden days well-off and affluent people among Marathas, were used to be called ‘Shrimant’. ‘Shrimant’ should not be always be linked to royal family, she added.

BJP state chief Nandkumar Singh Chouhan has already disagreed with Pawaiya. Chouhan does not have any objection on adding the title of ‘Shrimant’. There are many leader of the BJP from Gwalior who have no objection on ‘Shrimant’.
