BHOPAL : Expressing concern over the lack of interest among doctors in taking up state government jobs, the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan asked the officers to consider stopping the recruitment of doctors through PSC and instead use walk-in interviews only. He was speaking at a review meeting of Health and Family Welfare Department here on Monday.
The Chief Minister also sought comparative data on the salary structure of medicos in government and private hospitals. The Principal Secretary of the department claimed that the private
hospitals were paying less than the government. “Then why are doctors shunning government jobs?”, the CM shot back. It was decided at the meeting that AYUSH doctors will be posted in primary health centres to deal with the shortage of doctors and infertility and uterus-related diseases will also be included under Rajya Beemari Sahayata Yojana.
