Rains: Vegetable prices rising high

Begumganj : Due to continuous rainfall in Begumganj, the labourers are not getting work and the prices of pulses and the vegetables have shot through the roof. The price of green chilly is Rs 100 per kg, coriander leaves Rs 300 per kg, tomato Rs 50, and bitter gourd Rs 60 per kg, while the price of pulses has also increased.

Urad Dal is selling for Rs 80 and gram dal for Rs 110 per kg. Due to the rise in prices, the poor people are in trouble. They are not getting work, their houses are water-logged and on the top of that has come the hike in prices.
