Dhar : The district suffered extremely in the hands of rain with registering 4 inch rains in a duration of 24 hours even while it took a long break of 6 hours. The water overflowed over Utavad culvert and Devi pond was filled with water fully. The Kanvan area of the district sustained the maximum loss from the rainfall. Collector Jaishree Kiyawat and SP Rajesh Hingankar inspected village Kanwan of Badnawar development bloc. Both the officers instructed to the Revenue Officers to conduct a survey of the loss occurred in homes, shops, huts and other properties as well as the animal casualty in the area immediately. The officers also asked the officers to make proper arrangements including food, water and staying for the flood victims.

The district so far has received a total of 601.5 mm rainfall on average when the last year rainfall by this time of month was 322.9 mm. According to the information from Metrological Department 2.7 mm rainfall occurred on August 4 in Dhar while 1 mm rainfall was registered in Banawar.
