BHOPAL : The lokayukt police on Wednesday caught a sub-engineer of the PWD red handed while accepting Rs 5000 as first installment of a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a contractor for completing the formalities of the completed construction work of a boundary wall of the college. Inspector Manoj Mishra, who was in the team which conducted the operation, while talking to Free Press said that Dinesh Ahirwar, contractor had filed a complaint with the Lokayukt on April 17 against SS Bhadoria, sub-engineer PWD that he had constructed the boundary wall at Vivekanand College Bairasia, the work was completed but the PWD was not giving him work completion certificate and final bill due to which his final payment of Rs 3.5 Lakh was pending. In exchange of the certificate and final bill Bhadoria had demanded a bribe of Rs 15000. Action was taken on his complaint and Bhadoria was arrested red handed while accepting the first instalment of bribe from Ahirwar. Amresh Bohre and VK Singh were also the part of the Lokayukt police which conducted the operation.
