Sendhwa : A large number of shopkeepers supported by residents of the town strongly protested the selection of location for construction of a waiting hall at bus stand and demanded change of spot.
Residents and shopkeepers came on street at they noticed earmarking of place for under construction waiting hall at bus stand soon after sub engineer from municipality laid line for cement concrete road and boundary wall. The protestors stopped area corporator Prince Sharma and lodged their objections before him. They claimed that with the construction of waiting hall in the middle of the spot, a big chunk land will lie unused and will cause inconvenience to buses and passengers arriving here. They demanded that the waiting hall should be constructed near a overhead water tank for smooth traffic flow and it their demand was not heard, an agitation will be launched. Later, a memorandum was handed over to municipality chairman Arun Chaudhary who assured of proper action after consent from government in this matter.
