Bhopal: With the recent changes in the portfolios of ministers by chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Mantralaya has suddenly become a beehive of activities.

The ministers who had almost stopped taking interest in their departments, are actively taking interest in their new assignments.

Rampal Singh, who was not happy in revenue department, has now become active after getting public works department (PWD). Rampal on Monday held  a video conferencing with engineers of his department. He also convened a departmental meeting.

Minister Rajendra Shukla also reviewed the working of industries department. Minister for environment and animal husbandry, Antar Singh Arya convened review meetings of both departments.

Jayant Mallaiya, after relinquishing charge of water resource department, held a review meeting of finance department.

Ministers namely Archana Chitnis, Jaibhan Singh Pavaiya and Rustam Singh too reached Mantralaya and convened review meetings of their respective departments. Chouhan has asked ministers to get a performance report prepared, which is the reason behind them taking interest in their departments.
