BHOPAL :  National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Thursday pulled up Pollution Control Pollution Board (MPPCB) for not taking initiatives to check or monitor the pollution causing industrial units of Mandideep. PCB submitted a report of air pollution in NGT which instructed it to submit the report in format of Central Pollution Control Board.

PCB officials have been told to be present in NGT’s next hearing with documents and details so that pollution intensity could be assessed easily.

Mandideep Municipality informed that NGT that process is on for Sewage treatment plant in Mandideep. Previously, NGT had told Mandideep Municipality to clarify whether Sewage Treatment Plant will be effective or not.

Otherwise, Effluent treatment plant will be installed for proper disposal of waste.

Environmentalist Dr SC Pandey had filed a petition in NGT that industrial units are generating pollution. He had visited various areas in Mandideep.
