BHOPAL : With the new academic session having begun, the state school education department has planned a series of measures to improve the teaching standards of government schools and to ensure that teachers do not remain absent from schools.

Now, the photographs and the mobile numbers of all teachers will be displayed at the school so that the visiting officials and others can check whether the appointee or a proxy is teaching in the school.

ACS SR Mohanty has issued instructions cancelling the attachments of all school teachers. Surplus teaching staff in cities would be moved to village schools.

The teachers will no longer be allowed to travel to Bhopal for their personal works. The practice, so far, has been that the teachers come to the capital without taking leave from their schools.

Now the teachers have to take prior permission if they want to come to the capital.  They will be asked to use CM Online and other departmental grievance redressal processes to address their personal issues.

The department has also decided to ask the teachers to compulsorily use the M-Mitra mobile App. Presently only 52 percent of the teachers are using the App. Through the App, the teachers can mark their attendance. It can also be used by the teachers to apprise their superiors of their problems and needs. The superiors, in turn, can use it to issue instructions. The teacher will also be able to view their pay slips through the App.

Inspection team from the capital will be going to visit rural schools. The ACS will visiting schools in 10 districts, the Commissioner, Public instructions will visit 20 districts and commissioner RSK will also visit 20 districts. Inspection teams from district and block level will also going take the inspections of the schools.
