Minister Joshi said, “Parents have to be motivated not to pressurize their children for more marks as Mahatma Gandhi was never a meritorious student. Similarly was the case with former President late APJ Abdul Kalam. Make khadi school uniforms compulsory
Minister of State for School Education, Deepak Joshi has written to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan to make Khadi mandatory as school dress across the state. Joshi maintains that Union Minister Giriraj Singh is also planning to make Khadi the dress code in schools to promote Khadi clothes.
It should be made mandatory that a pair of uniform of school children in the state should be of Khadi.
Joshi said Khadi is being publicised across the country and it would be better to begin use of Khadi from schools first.
