Overall positivity rate at 1.5 in Madhya Pradesh during the graded unlock in the state capital

BHOPAL: During the graded unlock in the state capital on Tuesday, the overall positivity rate touched 1.5 in Madhya Pradesh. However, many districts still have an above 5 per cent positivity rate. Madhya Pradesh reported slightly above 1,000 cases, registering 1,078 corona cases on Tuesday. The infection tally went up to 781,108 and toll to 8,112. Around 4,120 Covid patients have been discharged in the state. The number of active cases dropped to 20,303 in the state.

Around 69,649 samples were sent for testing, while 757 samples were rejected at the time of testing. However, such rejected cases are supposed to be risky as the suspects keep moving around in society till their second test result is cleared. The onus lies on the administration, as well as the health department to keep vigil on such suspects.

Indore reported 362 corona cases and its tally went up to 150,178 and toll to 1,343. Bhopal reported 221 corona cases with its tally touching 121,093. Indoreís active case reduced to 3,406 and Bhopalís active cases reduced to 5,328.

Gwalior and Jabalpur reported 41 and 98 corona cases, respectively, and their active cases are 815 and 1,128, respectively.

Alirajpur reported zero corona cases with 15 active cases, while Katni, Khandwa and Mandla reported one corona case each and their active cases are 45, 28 and 48, respectively.

Tikamgarh, Datia,Bawarni, Hoshangabad, Agar-Malwa, Bhind and Burhanpur reported 2 corona cases each, while their active cases are 75, 115, 149, 108, 139, 49 and 15, respectively. Dindori, Jhabua and Chhatarpur reported 3 corona cases each with their active cases at 39, 67 and 78, respectively.
